Play on perspective is a collab between Made up curiosity and Detour, and the main objective of our collar is to design outcomes that will inspire designers by using the sense of sight and seeing things in a new way. My part for this collaboration would be a focus on helping designers see things in details and seeing the many possibilities. We are both aiming to achieve two outcomes each which is based on the same concept but both using different techniques and solution.
Despite settling on the idea of the kaleidoscope projector and having to purchase it online since two weeks ago, and having to purchase it from at least 8 buyers online, they were all out of stock despite searching for it at the china amazon. It was disappointing because the both of us were already so hyped up to get this outcome started. So I had to think of other alternatives since this one keep failing, I took a second look at what we have discussed previously and did a more detailed mind map into the word kaleidoscope. Although my partner felt that I keep trapping and limiting myself to the word kaleidoscope, I'd like to think that I should dig in future to see what chances there will be.
Meanwhile I am keen in making the kaleidoscope lens disposable camera and maybe the double exposure projector slide filters. But hoping to make our outcomes as playful and interactive as possible since our band’s name is Play on Perspective!
