After discussion with Wanlin, we've decided to use a plastic tube instead of the test tube because of certain restrictions. Also, the test tube kaleidoscope was quite rushed into and I did not see all the problems that I would face.
However the concept is still the same where designers will trust their 5 senses to collect things either with texture, taste, smell, creates sound or looks interesting. After that, the user will place them into the available space in the kaleidoscope and see the objects in detail and in many other possible forms visually. While building the kaleidoscope, all should go according to this planned out draft with the above measurements and details.
